Whether you join our community online or in-person at our Brighton venue in Fiveways, our group fitness classes are motivational, varied and help empower you to live your best life. 

 

With a flexible choice of classes, you have the option to take sessions to suit your mood, energy levels and combine workouts to support a balanced approach to your lifestyle.

All classes are designed to be safe but also designed with a sense of fun. Too much of one thing often leads to apathy or worse, burnout or injury. One of the foundations of fitness theory is that the body needs to be challenged by change. You need new stimuli both physically and mentally to develop and grow. To get the most from our programme of classes we recommend combining contrasting workouts, so that you get the best benefits from each session. Impactful classes increase bone density and strengthen your muscles, whilst mindful movement classes develop mobility, balance and ‘core’ stability.

  • I’m not very fit, should I still come?"
    Yes! If you can get up off the ground without help you can do a class. Pilates is a great place to start, please take the gentle versions of the exercises I teach. We are a friendly crowd and everyone is welcome and encouraged. Dance Fitness is also a great place to start, as you can take it at your own pace. Check out our schedule here!
  • Can you give me directions?
    Stanford Avenue Methodist Church is half way up or down Stanford Ave. It’s opposite the community gardens and Montessori School. Sometimes people go to the wrong church at the bottom of Stanford Ave, but this is infact St Augustines. Please use the side entrance on Stanford Ave done the step to the dark blue double doors.
  • Is there parking?
    There is plenty of on street parking, you’ll have to pay, so check the payment information on the lampposts.
  • What should I wear/bring?
    If you’re coming to Circuits or Dance Fitness, wear trainers and clothes that make you feel comfortable (or fabulous). If you’re coming to Pilates or Yoga wear layers so that you have options. Bring a water bottle and any medication you might need, like an inhaler.
  • I can't make it to the class I signed up for! What do I do?
    Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled to another time. There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your session please head to our site, log into your account and click My Bookings, from there you will see all classes you are signed up for and you will see a cancel and reschedule line next to each class.
